What are Sports Gum Shields?

​

Our Sports Gum Shields are custom fit denttal products designed to protect your teeth when you're playing contact sports. They are available in a thickness of either 4mm or 5mm and come in a range of different colour options (at additional cost). 

​

You can select your thickness based on the type of sport you will be engaging in:

​

  • 4mm thickness for sports where the head is a non-intentional contact zone and no weapons or sticks are used i.e. rugby, football.
     

  • 5mm thickness for sports where the head is an intentional contact zone and where weapons or sticks are used i.e. boxing, MMA, Hockey.

How does the process work?

Our process is designed to make your experience as simple as possible. Below you will see the step by step guide, from start (ordering ordering your Sports Gum Shield from our online shop) all the way to receiving your custom fit Sports Gum Shield in the mail.

 

It is a very straight forward process, but if at any time you need additional help or support, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Process Step by Step:​

  1. Place Your Order Using Our Online Shop
    Use our online shop with secure check out to purchase your custom fit Sports Gum Shield. You can select from the following options:

    - Sports Gum Shield (4mm) - £40
    - Sports Gum Shield (5mm) - £50

    All major payment methods are accepted using our secure checkout (PayPal). 
     

  2. Take Your Impression(s) at Home
    We will send you an impression kit (putty and trays) to that you can take your impressions at home. It is a very straightforward process. We have created a 'how to take an impression' guide to help talk you through the process step by step. You will also get instructions in your kit when you receive it.
     

  3. Send The Impressions Back To Us
    Once you have successfully taken your impression,  give it a quick water rinse and very gently pat dry. Mail the impression(s) back to us at the following address:

  4. We Make Your Sports Gum Shield
    Once we receive your impression(s), we will make your custom fit Sports Gum Shield and mail them out to you once complete. 
     

  5. Start Using Your New Sports Gum Shield
    Once you receive your Sports Gum Shield back, you can start using them immediately.
