What are bite guards?

Bite guards (sometimes referred to as night guards) are custom fit dental products used for teeth grinding and can be worn during the day or throughout the night to help relieve the pain and discomfort associated with teeth grinding. The bite guard is made from either 2mm or 3mm soft material for ideal comfort. It is also available in dual laminate (hard on the outside, soft on the inside).

 

What is Teeth Grinding?

 

Bruxism is a medical term that describes the act of grinding the teeth and clenching the jaw. Sometimes, people grind their teeth without it causing any symptoms or problems. However, regular and persistent teeth grinding can cause pain and discomfort in your jaw. It can also wear down your teeth which can be troublesome.

How does the process work?

Our process is designed to make your experience as simple as possible. Below you will see the step by step guide, from start (ordering ordering your bite guards from our online shop) all the way to receiving your custom fit Bite Guards in the mail.

 

It is a very straight forward process, but if at any time you need additional help or support, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Process Step by Step:​

  1. Place Your Order Using Our Online Shop
    Use our online shop with secure check out to purchase your custom fit Bite Guard. You can select from the following options:

    - Bite Guard (2mm) - £45
    - Bite Guard (3mm) - £55
    - Bite Guard (Dual Laminate) -  (£60)

    All major payment methods are accepted using our secure checkout (PayPal). 
     

  2. Take Your Impression(s) at Home
    We will send you an impression kit (putty and trays) to that you can take your impressions at home. It is a very straightforward process. We have created a 'how to take an impression' guide to help talk you through the process step by step. You will also get instructions in your kit when you receive it.
     

  3. Send The Impressions Back To Us
    Once you have successfully taken your impression,  give it a quick water rinse and very gently pat dry. Mail the impression(s) back to us at the following address:

  4. We Make Your Bite Guard
    Once we receive your impression(s), we will make your custom fit Bite Guard and mail them out to you once complete. 
     

  5. Start Using Your New Bite Guard
    Once you receive your Bite Guard back, you can start using them immediately.
